What is this site about?
I have been sailing for almost all my life. I love sailing, fast boats, sophisticated materials / equipment. For many, many years I have been sailing fast dinghies, especially 505s. My boat currently is a JOD 35. Maybe you can find some useful hints or links on this website.
The JOD has a worldwide community of enthusiastic single handed sailors as well as people who simply enjoy the simplicity and beauty (if you like a big ass...) of this unique boat.
JOCKER is based in Germany at the baltic sea and will be modified over next few years for single handed sailing. I will try to share as many details as possible. This site is non commercial!

THE JEANNEAU ONE DESIGN 35
The JOD 35 was designed by Daniel Andrieu in 1991. The purpose was one design racing, also for companies and charter guests. The major event was the Tour de France a` la voile. The JOD was later replaced by the smaller Mumm 30

JOD35 +
- Fantastic single handed boat (with ballast tanks)
- rock solid, undestroyable
- still looks cool,
- massive shrouts (8.5 mm ROD)
- affordable
- super fun in big waves, uphill and downhill
- very easy to handle and forgiving
- rewarding to sail
- space below deck for many girlfriends
JOD 35 -
- does not point as high as boats with runners, with jibsheet barbers much better
- kite could be bigger, now I have a big gennaker
- needs some crew on the rail, without tanks
